Description
Trova 20 mg Tablet is a medication used to reduce elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apolipoprotein B (Apo-B), and triglycerides levels. It is indicated for conditions such as familial hypercholesterolaemia, mixed dyslipidemia, hypertriglyceridemia, dysbetalipoproteinaemia, coronary artery disease, and hypercholesterolemia exacerbated by diabetes or renal transplantation.
Dosage
Available in 20 mg strength; maximum daily dose of 80 mg in adults; initial dose for children (10-18 years) is 10 mg once daily

- Reduction of total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol

Mode of Action
Selective inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase; lowers plasma cholesterol and lipoprotein levels by inhibiting cholesterol synthesis in the liver
