Pharmacology
- Active topical corticosteroid

- Effective in hairy and intertriginous places
- Effective for the treatment of wet ulceration
Dosage & Administration
- Application to affected parts of the skin
- Thin layer application
- 3 to 4 times daily application in adults
- Decreasing frequency of application for chronic conditions
- Avoid use in children under 1 year of age
- Limited course of treatment in children
Interaction
- No significant drug interactions reported
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any components
- Not for use in otitis externa with perforated eardrum
- Not for skin lesions caused by viruses and fungi
Side Effects
- Cushing's syndrome at prolonged and high doses
- Acne
- Thinning and dilatation of blood vessels with occlusive dressings
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Extensive use not recommended in pregnancy
Precautions & Warnings
- Avoid long-term continuous topical therapy
- Accurate dose in infected areas only
