Indications
- Treatment of superficial infections

Pharmacology
- Active topical corticosteroid (Betamethasone)
- Rapid response in inflammatory dermatoses
- Psoriasis treatment
- Topical broad-spectrum bactericidal amino-glycoside (Neomycin Sulfate)
- Effective against gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens
- Effective penetration and distribution capacity
- Effective for the treatment of wet ulceration
Dosage & Administration
- Apply as a thin layer to affected skin
- 3 to 4 times daily for adults
- Gradual withdrawal of treatment for chronic conditions
- Not to be used on children under 1 year
- Course of treatment for a child to last not more than 5 days
Interaction
- No significant drug interactions reported
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any component
- Not to be used for otitis externa with perforated eardrum
- Not to be used for skin lesions caused by viruses and fungi
Side Effects
- Prolonged/high doses may cause Cushing's syndrome
- Acne
- Thinning and dilatation of blood vessels
- Particularly when occlusive dressings are used
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Not to be used extensively in pregnancy
Precautions & Warnings
- Avoid long term continuous topical therapy
- Ensure accurate dose usage in infected areas
