Indications
- Treatment of superficial infections caused by gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms

Pharmacology
- Active topical corticosteroid (betamethasone)
- Rapid response in inflammatory dermatoses
- Cures psoriasis types of skin diseases
- Topical broad-spectrum bactericidal amino-glycoside (neomycin sulfate)
- Effective against gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens like Proteus vulgaris, Staphylococcus aureus
- Effective penetration and uniform distribution capacity
- Effective in hairy and intertriginous places
- Effective for the treatment of wet ulceration of the skin
Dosage & Administration
- Application to affected parts of the skin as a thin layer 3 to 4 times daily for adults
- Gradual withdrawal in chronic conditions
- Not for use on children under 1 year of age
- Course of treatment for children not normally lasting more than 5 days unless stated otherwise by physician
Interaction
- No significant reported drug interactions with the cream/ointment
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any of the components
- Not for use in treatment of otitis externa with perforated eardrum
- Contraindicated in skin lesions caused by viral and fungal infections
Side Effects
- Well tolerated overall
- Prolonged and high doses may cause Cushing's syndrome
- May cause acne, thinning and dilatation of blood vessels with occlusive dressings
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Avoid extensive use during pregnancy
Precautions & Warnings
- Avoid long term continuous topical therapy to prevent resistant micro organisms
- Use accurate dose in infected areas only
