Contraindications
- Rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis
- Hypersensitivity to the preparation
- Not indicated for primary cutaneous viral infections
- Not recommended for dermatoses in children under one year of age
Side Effects
- Systemic absorption with prolonged use
- Local atrophic changes with intensive treatment
- Pustular form of psoriasis in rare instances
- Pigmentation changes and hypertrichosis reported
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Limited data in pregnant women
- Topical corticosteroids in pregnant animals caused fetal abnormalities
- Unknown excretion in human milk
Precautions & Warnings
- Avoid long-term continuous therapy, especially in infants and children
- Atrophic changes risk on the face with prolonged treatment
- Risk of glaucoma or cataract if applied to eyelids
- Hazardous in psoriasis for various reasons
- Use of appropriate anti-microbial therapy for infected lesions
Use in Special Populations
- Avoid long-term continuous therapy in infants and children under 12 years
Overdose Effects
- Acute overdosage unlikely
- Features of hypercortisolism with chronic over-dosage
