Pharmacology
- Very potent topical corticosteroid
- Anti-inflammatory

Dosage
- Twice-daily application for adults, elderly, and children over 1 year
- Enhanced effect with occlusion
- Super-high potency topical corticosteroid
- Maximum weekly dose limitation
- Recommended dosage for different preparations
Administration
- Route: Cutaneous
- Appropriate creams for moist or weeping surfaces
- Appropriate ointments for dry, lichenified or scaly lesions
Interaction
- Co-administered drugs inhibiting CYP3A4 increase systemic exposure
Contraindications
- Rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis
- Hypersensitivity to the preparation
- Not indicated for primarily infected skin lesions
- Dermatoses in children under one year of age
Side Effects
- Features of hypercorticism with prolonged use of large amounts
- Local atrophic changes in the skin
- Hypersensitivity signs
- Exacerbation of symptoms
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Limited data in pregnant women
- Potential risk to the fetus
- Caution in nursing women
Precautions & Warnings
- Avoid long-term continuous therapy, especially in infants and children
- Atrophic changes on the face after prolonged treatment
- Avoid application on the eyelids
- Hazardous in psoriasis for various reasons
- Appropriate anti-microbial therapy for infected lesions
Use in Special Populations
- Avoid long-term continuous therapy in infants and children under 12 years
Overdose Effects
- Unlikely acute overdosage
- Features of hypercortisolism with chronic over-dosage
