Pharmacology

Contraindications

Side Effects
- signs of hypersensitivity may appear

Precautions & Warnings
- systemic effects with topical application in large areas or broken skin
- avoid indiscriminate use for pruritus
- caution in peptic ulcer, osteoporosis, psychoses, severe psychoneuroses, CHF, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, epilepsy, glaucoma, infectious diseases, ocular herpes simplex, chronic renal failure, uraemia, active or doubtfully quiescent tuberculosis, local treatment of eye disorders, elderly, prolonged use on the face
Overdose Effects
- acute overdose is unlikely
- chronic overdose may cause hypercorticism features
