Indications
- Treatment of fungal infections
- Relief of itching
- Treatment of nappy rash with Candida albicans infection
- Treatment of skin diseases with secondary fungal infection
Pharmacology
- Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent
- Hydrocortisone is a glucocorticoid with both glucocorticoid and mineralocorticoid activity
Dosage & Administration
- Apply thinly and evenly to the affected area twice daily
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components
Side Effects
- Rarely local mild burning or irritation
- Hypersensitivity reactions
Precautions & Warnings
- In infants, napkins may act as an occlusive dressing and increase absorption
- Treatment should be for a maximum period of seven days
