Description
- Broad spectrum antimycotic
- Anti-inflammatory
- Anti-pruritic
- Anti-allergic effects
- Composed of Econazole Nitrate
- Powerful antifungal
- Triamcinolone Acetonide enforcement
- Effective against gram-positive and fungus
- Antibacterial effect on gram-positive cocci and bacilli
Dosage & Administration
- Sparingly applied to skin lesion
- Up to 2 times daily
- Preferably once in the morning and once in the evening
- Not applied with occlusive dressing
- Not applied to large areas of skin
- Duration of treatment not longer than 2 weeks
- Continue therapy with preparation containing econazole alone
- Caution in pediatric use
Interaction
- Metabolized by CYP3A4/2C9
- Interactions with oral anticoagulants, NSAIDs, antidiabetics, amphotericin B, etc.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredients
- Specific skin conditions such as tuberculous, varicella, herpes simplex infections
- Fresh vaccination sites
- Decubitus ulcers
- Rosacea and rosacea-like dermatitis
Side Effects
- Transient local mild irritation
- Itching & redness after application
- Adrenal suppression on long term continuous topical steroid therapy
- Systemic effects including skin thinning, atrophy, etc.
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Topical administration during pregnancy can cause abnormalities of fetal development
- Topical steroids usage caution in pregnancy
- Negligible excretion in breast milk
- Cautious use in lactating mothers
Precautions & Warnings
- External use only
- Discontinue use if hypersensitivity occurs
- Caution in systemic absorption and skin thinning
- Increased risk of dermatological superinfection or opportunistic infection
- Visual disturbances possible
- Increased caution in treating children
Overdose Effects
- For cutaneous application only
- Accidental ingestion treatment symptomatically
- Accidental eye application requires washing and medical attention
