Indications

Description
Broad spectrum antimycotic with anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic and anti-allergic effects. Composed of Econazole Nitrate and Triamcinolone Acetonide. Range of action covers dermatomycoses caused by various pathogens.
Dosage & Administration
- Adults: Apply sparingly to skin lesion no more than 2 times daily. Not for use with occlusive dressing or on large skin areas. Treatment duration should not exceed 2 weeks.
Interaction
- Econazole: Metabolized by CYP3A4/2C9. Interacts with oral anticoagulants.
- Triamcinolone: Affects plasma salicylates levels. Increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and ulceration with NSAIDs.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to ingredients
- Specific skin conditions such as tuberculous, varicella, herpes simplex, viral, bacterial or fungal skin infections
Side Effects
- Transient local irritation, itching & redness
- Suppression of adrenal function on long term continuous topical steroid therapy
- Potential systemic effects in infants or children from occlusive dressings
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Pregnancy: Topical corticosteroids may cause abnormalities of fetal development
- Lactation: Negligible excretion in breast milk. Use in lactating mothers should be cautious.
Precautions & Warnings
- For external use only
- Discontinue use in case of hypersensitivity or chemical irritation
- Caution with systemic absorption and potential systemic effects
- Potential skin thinning and atrophy
Overdose Effects
Corticosteroids absorbed through skin can produce systemic effects. Accidental ingestion should be treated symptomatically.
