Fungistat (Ointment)

Indications

• Combination antibiotic and steroid
• Skin infection treatment
• Relieves itching and swelling

Composition

• Triamcinolone 1mg
• Neomycin 2.5mg
• Nystatin 10000 unit
• Gramicidin 0.25mg

Pharmacology

• Triamcinolone - corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory action
• Nystatin - polyene antifungal antibiotic
• Neomycin - aminoglycoside with topical use
• Gramicidin - antibacterial substance

Dosage & Administration

• For use on skin only
• Wash hands before use
• Avoid contact with eyes or mouth
• Apply thin layer 2-3 times daily
• Do not bandage or wrap treated area
• Use regularly for best results

Contraindications

• Avoid on tuberculous, viral, or fungal lesions
• Not for use on facial rosacea or acne vulgaris
• Avoid on patients with perforated tympanic membranes
