Indications
- Topical treatment of Acne vulgaris
Pharmacology
- Combination of lincosamide antibiotic Clindamycin phosphate and retinoid Tretinoin
- Clindamycin binds with the 50s ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria
- Tretinoin decreases the cohesiveness of follicular epithelial cells
Dosage & Administration
- Apply before sleep and in the morning
- Wash face gently with mild soap and water before applying
- Apply sunscreen in the morning after the application of gel
- Do not wash face more than 2 or 3 times a day
Interaction
- Concomitant use with potentially irritating topical products should be approached with caution
- Concomitant use with Erythromycin decreases activity of both Clindamycin and Erythromycin
- Concomitant use with neuromuscular medicine may increase activity of neuromuscular medicine
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Clindamycin or Tretinoin or any other component of the gel

- Sinusitis
- Diarrhea
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Caution in applying to a nursing mother
Precautions & Warnings
- Do not apply to eyes, nose, ear, lips, cut, burn, or other infections
- Keep away from sunlight after application
