Adaben Duo 0.1%+2.5% (Gel)

Indications

• Topical treatment of acne vulgaris
• For patients 12 years of age and older

Pharmacology

• Adapalene binds to specific retinoic acid nuclear receptors
• Modulator of cellular differentiation and keratinization
• Benzoyl peroxide is an oxidizing agent

Dosage & Administration

• Apply a thin film to affected areas once daily
• Use a pea-sized amount for each area of the face
• Avoid eyes, lips, and mucous membranes

Pediatric use

• Safety and effectiveness not established for patients under 12 years

Interaction

• Use concomitant topical acne therapy with caution
• No formal drug-drug interaction studies conducted

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to any component

Side Effects

• Erythema, scaling, dryness, stinging/burning
• Most commonly reported adverse events include dry skin and contact dermatitis

Pregnancy & Lactation

• No well-controlled trials in pregnant women
• Use during pregnancy only if potential benefit justifies risk to fetus
• Caution when administered to nursing woman

Precautions & Warnings

• Avoid exposure to sunlight and sunlamps
• Wear sunscreen when sun exposure cannot be avoided
