Indications

• Treatment of androgenic alopecia in males and females
• Stabilization of hair loss in patients with androgenic alopecia
• Treatment of alopecia areata

Pharmacology

• Stimulation of hair growth
• Increase in oxygen supply to hair follicles
• Increase in blood and nutrients supply to hair follicles
• Widening of blood vessels
• Inhibition of androgen hormone affecting hair follicles
• Topical application absorption rate
• Systemic elimination of absorbed drug

Dosage & Administration

• For external use only
• Application on clean and dry hair and scalp
• Twice daily application
• Total daily application dose limit
• Recommended duration of application before washing
• Prohibition on massaging into the scalp
• Prohibition on use of hair dryer to speed up drying
• Prohibition on mixing with hair oil
• Prohibition on more than two times a day usage
• Prohibition on oral consumption or application to other body parts
• Effectiveness of frequency and duration of use on hair growth
• Recommendation for washing hands after application
• Duration required for evidence of hair growth
• Use for not less than 45 days for hair fall arrest

Interaction

Contraindications

• Cardiac abnormalities
• Age below 18 years
