Indications
- Symptomatic treatment of Seasonal & Perennial Allergic Rhinitis
- Symptomatic treatment of Urticaria
Pharmacology
- Long-acting non-sedative antagonist of histamine H1-receptors
- Antagonist of platelet activating factor (PAF)
- Inhibition of degranulation of mast cells
- Inhibition of release of cytokines
Dosage & Administration
- 10 mg once a day for adults and adolescents over 12 years
- 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) for children weighing 25 kg or more
- 1/2 teaspoonful (2.5 ml) for children weighing 10-25 kg
Interaction
- Increased systemic exposure with ketoconazole or erythromycin
- Caution with statins, CNS depressants, and alcohol
- Avoid concomitant use with grapefruit and grapefruit juice

- Hypersensitivity to Rupatadine or any excipient
