Indications

• Relieves pain from minor skin irritations
• Relieves itching from poison ivy, oak, and sumac
• Helps dry oozing and weeping from plant irritations

Pharmacology

• Calamine has mild astringent and antipruritic actions
• Zinc oxide has astringent, soothing, and protective properties
• Zinc oxide reflects ultraviolet radiation and can be used as a physical sunscreen

Dosage

• Adult dosage: Apply 3-4 times daily for 3-5 days

Administration

• For external use only
• Apply on the skin following package directions or doctor's instructions
• Shake the bottle well before use

Interaction

• No known drug interactions for calamine/ zinc oxide topical

Contraindications

• Not to be used in case of hypersensitivity to any of the components

Side Effects

• Rare occurrence of serious allergic reactions
• Seek immediate medical attention for any severe symptoms
