Indications

• Relief of flatulence
• Abdominal distention relief
• Relief of fullness
• Gas relief in digestive tract
• Relief of windy colic
• Large bowel preparation
• Treatment of accidental ingestion of foaming detergents

Pharmacology

• Antiflatulent properties
• Antifoaming action
• Changes surface tension of gas bubbles
• Aids in elimination of gas from GI tract
• Reduces postoperative gas pains
• Enhances visualization prior to gastroscopy
• Reduces gas shadows prior to radiography

Dosage & Administration

• Should be taken after meals and at bedtime
• Shake the bottle well before each use
• Can be given with infant's feeds
• Dosage for children less than 2 years of age
• Dosage for children 2-12 years of age
• Dosage for adults

Interaction

• No evidence of modification of other drugs
• Defoaming effect is reduced by antacids

Side Effects

• Physiologically inert
• No adverse effects noted after oral ingestion

Pregnancy & Lactation

• No harmful effects suggested for pregnant women
• Excretion in breast milk not established

Precautions & Warnings

• Do not exceed 12 doses per day
• Under the advice and supervision of a physician
