Indications

Clindamycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 23S RNA
Benzoyl peroxide cleaves to form benzoyloxy radicals, interacts with bacterial proteins
Increases turnover rate of epithelial cells

May enhance the action of neuromuscular blocking agents
May antagonize the effects of parasympathomimetics
May competitively inhibit the effects of macrolides, ketolides, streptogramins, linezolid, and chloramphenicol

Hypersensitivity to clindamycin, lincomycin, benzoyl peroxide, or any of the excipients

Allergic reactions including hypersensitivity and anaphylaxis
Paraesthesia
Colitis including pseudomembranous colitis
