Description
- Treatment of Anefer deficiency in various clinical conditions
- Indicated for patients with inflammatory bowel disease
- Suitable for patients with chronic kidney disease
- Recommended for patients undergoing surgical procedures or donating blood
- Intravenously administered haematinic for rapid Anefer supply
- Contains approximately 30% Sucrose w/v (300 mg/ml)
- Has a pH of 10.5-11.1
- Dissociates into Iron and Sucrose in the body
- Iron distributes mainly in blood, liver, spleen, and bone marrow
- Sucrose component is eliminated mainly through urinary excretion
- Dosage varies for adults, elderly, and children
- Recommended routes of administration include intravenous injection and infusion
- Not to be administered concomitantly with oral iron preparations
- Contraindicated in patients with evidence of Iron overload or known hypersensitivity to Iron Sucrose
- Potential adverse reactions include hypotension, nausea, vomiting, headache, and hypersensitivity reactions
- Categorized as Pregnancy Category-B with caution advised during lactation
- Periodic monitoring of hematologic and haematinic parameters is required for patients receiving Anefer
- Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established
- Avoid administration in the presence of evidence of tissue Anefer overload
- Storage instructions: Cool (15°C-30°C) & dry place, protected from light; do not freeze
