Description
- Extended release capsule for treatment and prophylaxis of Iron, Folic acid, Vitamin B complex and Vitamin C deficiency
- Recommended for use during pregnancy or when planning for pregnancy
- Each capsule contains Ferrous Sulphate, Folic acid, Thiamine Mononitrate (vitamin B1), Riboflavin (vitamin B2), Nicotinamide (vitamin B3), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (vitamin B6), Ascorbic acid (vitamin C)
- Essential for red blood cell production, metabolic health, collagen formation, tissue repair, energy levels, and cell health
- Recommended adult dose is one capsule daily, or 2 capsules in severe deficiency states, or as directed by physician
- Care should be taken when given to patients with Iron storage or absorption disease
- Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to ingredients, haemochromatosis, haemosiderosis, repeated blood transfusion, anaemia not due to iron deficiency, and caution with Levodopa
- Generally well tolerated with potential for allergic reactions
- Recommended during pregnancy and lactation
- Care should be taken in patients who may develop iron overload, such as those with hemochromatosis, haemolytic anaemia or red cell aplasia
- Accidental overdose can cause fatal poisoning in children, avoid higher doses if liver disease or hemochromatosis, excess can cause various symptoms
