Mode of Action
- Zinc sulfate precipitates protein
- Iron helps to make red blood cells
- Folic acid is essential for coenzyme production
- Nicotinamide is a vitamin B3 derivative
- Vitamin C is necessary for collagen formation and tissue repair
- Vitamin B complex is essential for cell health and energy
Dosage and Administration
- One capsule daily
- In severe cases, 2 capsules a day may be required
- Or as directed by physician
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
Side Effects
- Generally well tolerated
- Few allergic reactions may be seen
Precautions and Warnings
- Care should be taken in patients who may develop iron overload
- Iron chelates with tetracycline and absorption may be impaired
Overdose Effects
- Accidental overdose of iron in children below 6 years
- Avoid higher doses with liver disease or haemochromatosis
- Symptoms of overdose may include vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, altered iron function
