Indications

Composition

  • Each capsule contains Ferrous Sulphate, Folic Acid, and Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate

Dosage & Administration

  • 1 capsule daily for adults or elderly
  • 2 capsules daily in severe cases
  • Children aged over 1 year: 1 capsule daily

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to the product components
  • Iron overload

Side Effects

  • Dark stools
  • Nausea
  • Gastrointestinal upset
  • Rare reports of allergic reactions

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Avoid using during first trimester
  • Definite evidence of Iron deficiency required for first trimester use

Precautions & Warnings

  • Care in patients at risk of Iron overload
  • Failure to respond to treatment may indicate other causes of anaemia
  • Possible drug interactions with tetracycline, penicillamine, and antacids
  • Zinc absorption reduced in the presence of Iron

Overdose Effects

  • Iron overdosage is dangerous, requires immediate attention
  • Gastric lavage may be required
  • Symptomatic and supportive measures should be given as required
  • Zinc Sulphate in gross overdose is corrosive
