Ancopan 20 mg (Tablet)

Indications

• Antispasmodic medication for smooth muscle
• Recommended for gastrointestinal and genitourinary tracts
• Used in dysmenorrhea and biliary severe pain

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: 20mg four times a day orally
• Pediatric (6-12 years): 10mg thrice daily or as directed
• Adults: 20mg intramuscularly, repeat after 30 minutes if necessary

Contraindications

• Prostatic enlargement
• Paralytic ileus or pyloric stenosis
• Patients with glaucoma

Side Effects

• Dry mouth
• Dilated pupils
• Increased intraocular pressure
• Flushing
• Bradycardia
• Tachycardia
• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Vertigo

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Caution during the first trimester

Precautions & Warnings

• May cause drowsiness and agitation
• Avoid driving or operating machinery
• Caution in thyrotoxicosis, cardiac complications, and depression
• Interactions with anticholinergics, antihistamines, and tricyclic antidepressants

Reconstitution

• Reconstitute with dextrose or 0.9% sodium chloride injection
