Dosage & Administration
- 0.5 mg tablet
- 3 times daily after meal
- IM or IV administration
- Dose adjustment based on age and symptoms
- Megaloblastic Anemia dosage reduction after 2 months
- Use not recommended in children
Interaction
- Reduced absorption by neomycin
- Reduced absorption by aminosalicylic acid
- Reduced absorption by H2-antagonists
- Reduced absorption by omeprazole
- Reduced absorption by colchicine
- Decreased serum concentrations by oral contraceptives
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Mecobalamin or other components

- No data on use in pregnant women & lactating mother
- Vitamin B12 distribution into breast milk

- Not recommended for aimless use beyond one month
- Prolonged use not recommended for certain occupational groups
