Description
- Effective in treating gastrointestinal and genitourinary tract visceral spasms
- Used for spasmolytic dysmenorrhea
- Recommended for gastrointestinal and biliary severe pain
Dosage & Administration
- 20mg tablet dosage for adults, four times a day
- 30mg injection dosage for adults, with potential additional dose after 30 minutes if necessary
- 10mg tablet dosage for children aged 6-12 years, three times a day as per doctor's advice
Contraindications
- Prostatic enlargement patients should refrain from use
- Patients with paralytic ileus or pyloric stenosis should avoid usage
- Not recommended for patients with glaucoma
- Avoid usage in pregnancy especially during the first trimester
Side Effects
- Potential side effects include dry mouth, mydriasis, increased intraocular pressure, flushing, dry skin, bradycardia, tachycardia, and arrhythmia
- Occasional drowsiness, vomiting, dizziness, and staggering
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Usage requires caution especially during the first trimester

- May cause drowsiness and mental alertness impairment
- Patients using hyoscine should refrain from driving or operating machinery
- Cautious usage in cases of thyrotoxicosis, cardiac insufficiency, or failure, and arrhythmia

- Can be reconstituted with Dextrose or 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection
