Indications
- Relief from smooth muscle spasm in the abdominal cavity
- Treatment of gastro-intestinal and genito-urinary tract spasm
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 20mg four times daily
- Pediatric dosage: 10mg three times daily or as directed by a doctor
- Injection for muscular or vascular use: 20mg standard dose, may repeat after 30 minutes if necessary
Contraindications
- Prostatic enlargement patients should not use
- Caution required for the elderly
- Patients with paralytic ileus or pyloric stenosis should not use
- Avoid use in patients with glaucoma

- Dry mouth
- Dilation of the pupil
- Increased intra-ocular pressure
- Flushing
- Dry skin
- Bradycardia
- Tachycardia
- Dizziness
- Vomiting
- Staggering
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Use with caution during the first trimester of pregnancy
Precautions & Warnings
- May induce drowsiness and reduce alertness
- Patients taking this medication should not drive or operate machinery
- Caution required for patients with hyperthyroidism, cardiac insufficiency, or cardiac conduction abnormalities
- Avoid concurrent use with certain other anticholinergics or tricyclic antidepressants
