Indications

• Treatment of polyneuropathy
• Supportive treatment in facial paresis
• Treatment of neuritis
• Treatment of neuralgia
• Treatment of cervical syndrome
• Treatment of lumbago
• Relief of sciatica
• Supportive treatment in herpes zoster
• Supportive treatment in trigeminal neuralgia

Composition

• Each film-coated tablet contains Vitamin B1 (Thiamine Mononitrate) 100 mg
• Each film-coated tablet contains Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) 200 mg
• Each film-coated tablet contains Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) 200 microgram
• Each 3 ml ampoule contains Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) 100 mg
• Each 3 ml ampoule contains Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) 100 mg
• Each 3 ml ampoule contains Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 1000 mcg

Pharmacology

• Vitamin B1 converts carbohydrates, fatty acids, and amino acids into energy
• Vitamin B1 promotes healthy nerves and strengthens the heart
• Vitamin B6 forms red blood cells and helps cells make proteins
• Vitamin B6 manufactures neurotransmitters and releases energy
• Vitamin B6 helps to prevent cardiovascular diseases and stroke
• Vitamin B12 is essential for cell replication and important for red blood cell production

Dosage & Administration

• Tablet: 1-3 tablets per day
• Injection: 1 injection daily for severe cases
• Injection: 1 injection 2-3 times per week for mild cases
• Ampoules are preferably injected intramuscularly

Contraindications

• Contraindicated in patients on levodopa therapy
• Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients

Side Effects

Generally well tolerated, but allergic reactions may occur

Pregnancy & Lactation

Oral tablet form recommended, injection not recommended due to benzyl alcohol presence

Precautions & Warnings

• Cyanocobalamin should not be given in patients with subacute degeneration of the spinal cord
• Cyanocobalamin is not suitable for the treatment of optic neuropathies associated with raised plasma concentrations
