Indications
- Antispasmodic medication
- Relief from smooth muscle spasms
- Treatment for gastrointestinal and genitourinary tract symptoms
- Recommended for spasmolytic dysmenorrhea
- Relief from renal or biliary intense pain
- Used for radiocontrast-induced spasm resolution
- Administered for reducing discomfort in pilography
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 20mg four times daily
- Preventative treatment for spasmodic dysmenorrhea
- Pediatric dosage (6-12 years): 10mg three times daily or as directed
- Intramuscular injection: 20mg for general application, additional doses may be required after 30 minutes
- Increased frequency of application for endoscopic procedures
Contraindications
- Prostatic hypertrophy patients should avoid usage
- Caution required for elderly individuals
- Avoid use in paralytic ileus or pyloric stenosis
- Prohibition for individuals with glaucoma
- Restriction for pregnant and lactating women
- Patients with hyperthyroidism should refrain from use
- Usage caution for individuals with cardiac insufficiency or failure, and cardiac arrhythmias
Side Effects
