Indications
- Antispasmodic medication
- Treatment for gastrointestinal smooth muscle spasm
- Treatment for genitourinary tract spasm
- Symptomatic relief of spastic dysmenorrhoea
- Relief for intense gastrointestinal and biliary pain
Dosage & Administration
- Adult oral dosage: 20mg four times per day
- Pediatric oral dosage (6-12 years): 10mg three times per day or as directed by a healthcare professional
- Adult injection dosage: 20mg per administration, with an option for subsequent administration after 30 minutes if necessary
- Injection dosage for endoscopy may require higher frequency
Contraindications
- Prostatic hypertrophy patients should avoid use
- Caution advised for elderly patients
- Prohibition for individuals with paralytic ileus or pyloric stenosis
- Restricted use for those with myasthenia gravis or glaucoma
Side Effects
- Dry mouth
- Urinary retention
- Increased intraocular pressure
- Flushing
- Dry skin
- Bradycardia
- Subsequent tachycardia and arrhythmia

Pregnancy & Lactation
- Use with caution in the first trimester
Precautions & Warnings
- May cause drowsiness and mental impairment
- Caution while operating vehicles or machinery
- Avoid alcohol consumption
- Exercise caution in thyrotoxicosis, cardiac insufficiency, or heart failure settings
- Consider reduced dosage when used in combination with other anticholinergics or tricyclic antidepressants
