Indications

Composition

Tablet/Capsule:
- Thiamine Hydrochloride 5 mg
- Riboflavin 2 mg
- Pyridoxine hydrochloride 2 mg
- Nicotinamide 20 mg
Syrup:
- Thiamine Hydrochloride 5 mg
- Riboflavin 2 mg
- Pyridoxine hydrochloride 2 mg
- Nicotinamide 20 mg
Injection:
- Thiamine Hydrochloride 50 mg
- Riboflavin 4 mg
- Pyridoxine hydrochloride 10 mg
- Nicotinamide 100 mg
- D-Panthenol 5 mg

Pharmacology

Contains important members of the vitamin B group in pure form and in therapeutically balanced proportions. Components play specific biological role in regulating metabolism. Deficiency causes glossitis, stomatitis, cheilosis, polyneuritis, beriberi, pellagra, and vascularisation of cornea.

Dosage & Administration

Tablet/capsule: 1-2 tablet/capsule 3 times daily or as directed by physician
Syrup: 2-3 teaspoonful daily or as directed by physician
Injection: 2 ml daily for intramuscular and intravenous administration or as directed by physician. Injectable dosage contains D-Panthenol 5 mg

Interaction

Pyridoxine can decrease the efficacy of levodopa in parkinsonism therapy, not recommended for patients undergoing such therapy

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any of its components

Side Effects

Allergic and idiosyncratic reactions possible at lower levels; iron has been associated with gastrointestinal intolerance in some patients
