Pharmacology
Members of the vitamin B group regulate carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism. Deficiency causes glossitis, stomatitis, beriberi, and more.
Dosage & Administration
- Tablet/Capsule: Usual recommended dose is 1-2 tablet/capsule 3 times daily or as directed by the physician.
- Syrup: 2-3 teaspoonful daily or as directed by the physician.
- Injection: Recommended dose is 2 ml daily for intramuscular or intravenous administration.
Interaction
Vitalex-B complex may decrease the efficacy of levodopa in parkinsonism treatment.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any of its components.
Side Effects
Adverse reactions reported at substantially higher levels than in Vitalex-B complex. Allergic and idiosyncratic reactions possible at lower levels.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Safe to use in pregnancy and lactation.
