Indications
- Prevention and treatment of vitamin deficiency in children and infants
Composition
- Vitamin A: 1.2 mg
- Vitamin D: 10 mcg
- Vitamin C: 50 mg
- Thiamine Hydrochloride: 1 mg
- Riboflavin: 0.5 mg
- Pyridoxine Hydrochloride: 1 mg
- Niacinamide: 5 mg
- Dexpantothenol: 3 mg
Description
- Combination of different vitamins for providing essential nutrients and treating deficiencies
Pharmacology
- Vitamin A essential for retina function
- Vitamin B necessary for lipid metabolism
- Vitamin B12 required for normal growth and cell reproduction
- Vitamin E is an antioxidant
- Vitamin C necessary for collagen formation
- Vitamin D3 essential for bone mineralization
Dosage & Administration
- Below 1 year: 9-10 drops (0.3 ml)
- 1 year and above: 23-25 drops (1.0 ml) once daily
Contraindications
- Not prescribed for patients with haemochromatosis or Wilson’s disease
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
- Excessive doses of vitamin A and D can lead to hypervitaminosis
Side Effects
- V-Plex preparation with ordinary doses of component are usually nontoxic
