  • Daily intake of 5 gm or more may cause abortion
  • Safe during lactation

Precautions & Warnings

  • Ingestion of megadose during pregnancy may result in scurvy in neonates
  • Mega-doses contraindicated for patients with hyperoxaluria
  • Reactive substance in the redox system
  • Can lead to false positive reactions in certain analytical tests
