Description
Xerocid is indicated for the treatment of symptoms resulting from the reflux of acid, bile and pepsin into the esophagus such as acid regurgitation, heartburn, indigestion, and other associated symptoms. It contains Sodium Alginate and Potassium Bicarbonate which form a raft on top of the stomach contents to prevent acid reflux. The drug is available in tablet and suspension forms with specific dosages for adults, children, and elderly individuals. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the ingredients and should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment and congestive cardiac failure.
