Dosage & Administration
- Dosage for below 1 year: 9-10 drops (0.3 ml)
- Dosage for 1 year and above: 23-25 drops (1.0 ml) once daily
Contraindications
- Not prescribed for patients with haemochromatosis or Wilson’s disease
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
- Excessive doses of vitamin A and D can lead to hypervitaminosis

Description
Heptavits are a combination of many different vitamins that are normally found in foods and other natural sources. They are used to provide vitamins that are not taken in through the diet and to treat vitamin deficiencies caused by illness, pregnancy, poor nutrition, digestive disorders, and many other conditions.
Pharmacology
- Vitamin A: Essential for the function of the retina and for the growth and differentiation of epithelial tissue
- Vitamin B: Plays a role in the synthesis and maintenance of coenzyme A, lipid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, and tissue respiration
- Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin): Required for the maintenance of normal erythropoiesis, nucleoprotein and myelin synthesis, and cell reproduction; necessary for normal tissue respiration
- Vitamin E: An antioxidant which preserves essential cellular constituents
- Vitamin C: Necessary for collagen formation, tissue repair, oxidation/reduction reactions, and other metabolic pathways
- Vitamin D3: Necessary for the regulation of calcium and phosphate homeostasis, bone mineralization, and healthy bones; stimulates bone formation
