Indications
- Prevention and treatment of vitamin deficiency in children and infants
Composition
- Vitamin A: 1.2 mg
- Vitamin D: 10 mcg
- Vitamin C: 50 mg
- Thiamine Hydrochloride: 1 mg
- Riboflavin: 0.5 mg
- Pyridoxine Hydrochloride: 1 mg
- Niacinamide: 5 mg
- Dexpantothenol: 3 mg
Description
- Combination of different vitamins found in foods and natural sources
- Used to provide vitamins not taken through the diet
- Used to treat vitamin deficiencies caused by illness, pregnancy, poor nutrition, and digestive disorders
Pharmacology
- Vitamin A plays essential role in retina function and tissue differentiation
- Vitamin B plays role in synthesis and maintenance of coenzyme A
- Vitamin B12 required for normal cell reproduction and myelin synthesis
- Vitamin E is an antioxidant preserving cellular constituents
- Vitamin C necessary for collagen formation and tissue repair
- Vitamin D3 necessary for regulation of calcium and phosphate homeostasis
Dosage & Administration
- Below 1 year: 9-10 drops (0.3 ml)
- 1 year and above: 23-25 drops (1.0 ml) once daily or as advised by physicians
Contraindications
- Not prescribed for patients with haemochromatosis or Wilson’s disease
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredients
- Excessive doses of vitamin A and D can lead to hypervitaminosis
Side Effects
- Tynisol preparation with ordinary doses of components are usually nontoxic
