Indications
- Treatment and prevention of vitamin and mineral deficiencies
- Suitable for restricted diets and improper food intake
- For patients with higher vitamin and mineral requirements due to acute and chronic diseases
- Recommended for pregnancy, lactation, menopause, infections, and during antibiotic treatment
Composition
- Balanced combination of multivitamins and multiminerals
- Contains Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Nicotinamide, Cyanocobalamin, Calcium pantothenate, Folic acid, Iron, Copper, Magnesium, Zinc, Potassium Iodide, Potassium Sulphate
Pharmacology
- Essential for normal metabolic functions including hematopoiesis
- Vitamin B-group components regulate carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism
- Vitamin C involved in tissue repair and collagen formation
- Vitamin A essential for retina function and tissue growth
- Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant
- Vitamin D for prevention of nutritional and metabolic rickets
- Iron, Copper, Manganese, Zinc serve as catalysts in vital cellular functions
Dosage & Administration
- Orally one tablet daily for adults and children over 5 years of age
- To be taken as directed by physicians
Contraindications
- Not for patients hypersensitive to any components
- Not for severe specific deficiencies of vitamins or minerals
- Not recommended for patients undergoing levodopa treatment
- Large doses of vitamin A in the first trimester of pregnancy may be teratogenic
Side Effects
- Reported side effects are at substantially higher levels than in the tablet
- Iron may cause gastrointestinal intolerance in some patients
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Recommended daily dose should not be exceeded in the first trimester of pregnancy
- Larger doses of Vitamin-A may be teratogenic
Precautions & Warnings
- Not intended for treatment of pernicious anemia or other megaloblastic anemia with deficient vitamin B12
