Indications
- Reduces muscles spasm of the intestine
- Reduces muscles spasm of the biliary system
- Reduces muscles spasm of the bladder

- Symptomatic treatment of pain related to functional disorders of the digestive tract and biliary system
- Treatment of spasm and pain in urological diseases

Pharmacology
- Competitive antagonist of Acetylcholine
- Competitive antagonist of Histamine
- Strengthens calcium bond with membrane phospholipids and proteins
- Inhibits intracellular contractile protein of visceral cell
- Causes inhibition of visceral spasm and pain
Dosage & Administration
- Usual dose of 2-6 tablets daily in divided doses for adults
- Usual dose of 3-9 teaspoonfuls syrup daily in divided doses for adults
- Usual dose of 3 ml/kg or 6 mg/kg body weight daily in divided doses for children
- 1 Tiemonium Methylsulphate Injection 3 times daily for adults
- 20 mg Tiemonium Methylsulphate suppository two or three times daily for adults
- Injection through Intravenous route slowly or Intramuscular route
- Suppository through rectal route
Interaction
- Consultation required before using with other drugs
Contraindications
- Not to be used in urethroprostatic disorder involving a risk of urine retention
- Contraindicated in patients at risk of angle closure glaucoma

- Risk of hypotension in certain individuals
- Risk of tachycardia in certain individuals

- No teratogenic effects reported in animal studies
- Prudence advised for nursing mothers
- No reported problems with normal use during pregnancy and lactation
