Description
- Used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels
- Used in conditions like osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, latent tetany, postmenopausal osteoporosis
- Acts against inflammatory diseases like arthritis, psoriasis, lupus, spondylitis, cardiovascular ailments, encephalitis, retinitis, phlebitis, colitis, and multiple sclerosis
- Helps in controlling weight, reducing mood swings, and cognitive enhancement

- Contains Calcium Orotate with orotic acid which assists in the transport of calcium through cellular membranes

- Interactions with biphosphonates, quinolone antibiotics, tetracycline antibiotics, levothyroxine, phenytoin, tiludronate disodium, thiazide-type diuretics, aluminum- and magnesium-containing antacids, mineral oil, stimulant laxatives, glucocorticoids, oral contraceptives, estrogen compounds, anti-inflammatories, corticosteroids
- Contraindications include incomplete or infrequent bowel movements, kidney stone, kidney disease, increased activity of the parathyroid gland, high amount of Calcium in urine or blood, extreme loss of body water
- Common side effects: bloating, swelling in the abdomen, loss of appetite, upset stomach, constipation, nausea, vomiting, unusual weight loss, increased thirst/urination, weakness, unusual tiredness, formation of kidney stones
