Indications

Pharmacology
- Contains Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol)
- Necessary for bone formation and maintenance
- Vitamin D3 aids in absorption and reabsorption of Calcium
- Stimulates bone formation
- Helps in prevention of osteoporosis & bone fracture
Dosage & Administration
- 2 tablets of Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU daily or 1 tablet twice daily
- 1 tablet of Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 400 IU twice daily
- Best taken with or just after a meal for improved absorption
Interaction
- Possible interactions with calcium, aluminium or magnesium containing antacids
- Interactions with calcitriol & other vitamin D3 supplements
- Interactions with digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline or oxytetracycline
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in hypercalcaemia
- Contraindicated in hyperthyroidism
- Contraindicated in renal calculi & nephrolithiasis
- Contraindicated in Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
