Pharmacology
- Preparation of Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin D3
- Necessary for bone formation and maintenance
- Vitamin D3 aids in absorption of Calcium
- Vitamin D3 stimulates bone formation
Dosage & Administration
- 500 mg Calcium and 200 IU Vitamin D3 Tablet: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily
- 500 mg Calcium and 400 IU Vitamin D3 Tablet: 1 tablet twice daily
- Best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption
Interaction
- Possible interaction with calcium, aluminium or magnesium containing antacids
- Possible interaction with other calcium supplements
- Possible interaction with calcitriol and other vitamin D3 supplements
- Possible interaction with digoxin
- Possible interaction with tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline or oxytetracycline

- Hypercalcaemia
