Pharmacology

Dosage & Administration
- Two tablets of Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU per day
- One tablet of Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 400 IU twice daily
- Best taken with or just after a meal
Interaction
- Possible interaction with antacids containing calcium, aluminium, or magnesium
- Interaction with other calcium and vitamin D3 supplements
- Interaction with digoxin, tetracycline, and related antibiotics
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in hypercalcaemia
- Contraindicated in hyperthyroidism
- Contraindicated in renal calculi and nephrolithiasis
- Contraindicated in Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
