Dosage & Administration
- Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU Tablet: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily
- Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 400 IU Tablet: 1 tablet twice daily
- Best taken with or just after a meal for improved absorption
Interaction
- Possible interaction with antacids containing calcium, aluminium or magnesium
- Potential interaction with calcitriol and other vitamin D3 supplements
- Interaction with digoxin, tetracycline, and related antibiotics
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in hypercalcaemia
- Contraindicated in hyperthyroidism
- Contraindicated in renal calculi & nephrolithiasis
- Contraindicated in Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
Side Effects
- Potential side effects include nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, dry mouth, increased thirst, increased urination
- Constipation may occur
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Should be used as directed by physician during pregnancy or while breast-feeding

Overdose Effects
- Symptoms of overdosage may include nausea, vomiting, severe drowsiness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, metallic taste, stomach cramps, diarrhea, headache, constipation
