Indications

Pharmacology
- Contains Calcium Carbonate
- Contains Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol)
- Necessary for bone formation and maintenance
- Aids in absorption and reabsorption of Calcium

- Prevention of osteoporosis and bone fracture
Dosage & Administration
- Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU Tablet: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily
- Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 400 IU Tablet: 1 tablet twice daily
- Best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption
Interaction
- Possible interaction with calcium and other supplements
- Interaction with antacids
- Interaction with digoxin and tetracycline
- Interaction with doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in hypercalcaemia
- Contraindicated in hyperthyroidism
- Contraindicated in renal calculi and nephrolithiasis
- Contraindicated in Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
