Indications

Pharmacology
- Competitive antagonist of Acetylcholine
- Competitive antagonist of Histamine
- Strengthens calcium bond with membrane phospholipids and proteins
- Inhibits intracellular contractile protein of visceral cells
- Inhibition of visceral spasm
- Inhibition of visceral pain
Dosage & Administration
- Usual adult dose: 2-6 tablets or 3-9 teaspoonfuls daily in divided doses
- Usual children's dose: 3 ml/kg or 6 mg/kg body weight daily in divided doses
- Injection dose: 1 Tiemonium Methylsulphate Injection 3 times daily through IV or IM route
- Suppository dose: 20 mg Tiemonium Methylsulphate suppository two or three times daily through rectal route
Interaction
- Consultation required before using with other drugs
Contraindications
- Do not use in urethroprostatic disorder involving a risk of urine retention
- Contraindicated in patients with risk of angle closure glaucoma
