Dosage & Administration

  • Best taken with or after a meal for improved absorption

Interaction

  • Possible interaction with antacids containing calcium, aluminium, or magnesium
  • Interaction with calcitriol & other vitamin D3 supplements
  • Interaction with digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline

Contraindications

  • Contraindicated in hypercalcaemia
  • Contraindicated in hyperthyroidism
  • Contraindicated in renal calculi & nephrolithiasis
  • Contraindicated in Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
