Indications
Treatment of osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, tetany, parathyroid disease, pregnancy & lactation, osteogenesis, tooth formation, therapy with anti-seizure medications, and chronic renal failure
Pharmacology
Preparation of Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin D3, necessary for bone formation and maintenance, absorption & reabsorption of Calcium, bone formation, bone growth, prevention of osteoporosis & bone fracture
Dosage & Administration
- Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU Tablet: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily, best taken with or just after a meal
- Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 400 IU Tablet: 1 tablet twice daily, best taken with or just after a meal
Interaction
Possible interaction with calcium, aluminium or magnesium containing antacids, other calcium supplements, calcitriol, vitamin D3 supplements, digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline or oxytetracycline
Contraindications
Hypercalcaemia, hyperthyroidism, renal calculi & nephrolithiasis, Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome

Pregnancy & Lactation
Should be used as directed by physician during pregnancy or while breast-feeding
