Pharmacology
- Calcium gluconate for maintaining calcium balance and preventing bone loss
- Coral Calcium for better absorption and similarity to human bone composition
- Vitamin D3 for calcium absorption and bone formation
- Vitamin C as a powerful reducing agent and for defense against infections
Dosage & Administration
1 effervescent tablet per day for adolescents & adults, ½ tablet per day for children, as prescribed for infants, dissolve in water
Interaction
Considerations for hypercalcemia risk, reduced absorption with certain foods, and interaction with other medications like phenytoin, barbiturates, digitalis, and antibiotics
Contraindications
- Hypercalcemia resulting from specific conditions
- Sarcoidosis, primary hyperparathyroidism, and vitamin-D overdosage
- Severe renal failure and hypersensitivity to tablet ingredients
Side Effects
- Mild gastrointestinal disturbances
- Skin rash (occasional)
- Hypercalciuria

Overdose Effects
- Hypercalcemia due to vitamin-D toxicity
- Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, polyuria, constipation
- Vascular and organ calcification in chronic overdoses
- Treatment: stop intake of calcium and vitamin-D, rehydration
