Composition
- Calcium Carbonate BP equivalent to 600 mg elemental Calcium
- Vitamin D3 BP (as Cholecalciferol) 200 IU
- Magnesium Oxide BP equivalent to 40 mg Magnesium
- Manganese Sulfate Monohydrate BP equivalent to 1.8 mg Manganese
- Cupric Oxide equivalent to 1 mg Copper
- Boron Citrate equivalent to 250 mcg Boron
- Zinc Oxide BP equivalent to 7.5 mg Zinc

Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 1 film-coated tablet twice daily
- Best taken with or just after main meals with a full glass of water
- Children 3-7 years: 1 effervescent tablet daily
- Children 7 years and older: 1 to 2 effervescent tablets daily
Interaction
- Risk of hypercalcemia with thiazide diuretics
- Effects of certain foods on calcium absorption
- Concomitant treatment with phenytoin or barbiturates
- Effects of glucocorticoids on Vitamin D3
- Interactions with digitalis, cardiac glycosides and calcium
- Reduced absorption of thyroxin, bisphosphonates, antibiotics, and iron with calcium salts
Contraindications
- Absolute contraindications related to hypercalcaemia and severe renal failure
- Relative contraindications related to osteoporosis due to prolonged immobilization and renal stones
Side Effects
- Mild gastro-intestinal disturbances
- Occasional skin rash from vitamin-D3 supplements
- Long term treatment effects at high doses
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Increased requirements for calcium and vitamin-D3 during pregnancy and lactation
- Hypercalcaemia effects on newborns
- Passage of vitamin-D3 and metabolites into breast milk
Precautions & Warnings
- Supervision for patients with mild to moderate renal failure or mild hypercalciuria
- Periodic checks of plasma and urinary calcium levels
- Urinary calcium excretion measurements for patients with history of renal stones
- Monitoring serum and urinary calcium levels during long term treatment
- Allowances for calcium and vitamin D3 supplements from other sources
Overdose Effects
- Symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, metallic taste, stomach cramps, diarrhea, headache & constipation
