Composition
- Calcium Carbonate BP equivalent to 600 mg elemental Calcium
- Vitamin D3 BP (as Cholecalciferol) 200 IU
- Magnesium Oxide BP equivalent to 40 mg Magnesium
- Manganese Sulfate Monohydrate BP equivalent to 1.8 mg Manganese
- Cupric Oxide equivalent to 1 mg Copper
- Boron Citrate equivalent to 250 mcg Boron
- Zinc Oxide BP equivalent to 7.5 mg Zinc

Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 1 film-coated tablet twice daily
- Children 3-7 years dosage: 1 effervescent tablet daily
- Children 7 years and older dosage: 1 to 2 effervescent tablet daily
Interaction
- Risk of hypercalcemia with thiazide diuretics
- Avoiding hypocalcemia in digitalized patients
- Effects of certain foods on calcium absorption
- Concomitant treatment with phenytoin or barbiturates
- Concomitant use of glucocorticoids
- Effects of digitalis and other cardiac glycosides with oral calcium and Vitamin D3
- Reduced absorption of thyroxin, bisphosphonates, sodium fluoride, quinolone or tetracycline antibiotics or iron by calcium salts
Contraindications
- Absolute contraindications like hypercalcaemia, sarcoidosis, primary hyperparathyroidism, Vitamin-D3 overdosage, Severe renal failure
- Relative contraindications like osteoporosis due to prolonged immobilisation, renal stones, severe hypercalciuria
- Hypersensitivity to any tablet ingredients
Side Effects
- Mild gastro-intestinal disturbances
- Constipation, flatulence, nausea, gastric pain, diarrhea
- Skin rash from vitamin-D3 supplements
- Hypercalciuria and rare cases of hypercalcaemia with long-term high dose treatment
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Increased calcium and vitamin-D3 requirements during pregnancy and lactation
- Teratogenic effects of vitamin-D3 overdoses in pregnant animals
- Passage of vitamin-D3 and its metabolites into breastmilk
Precautions & Warnings
- Careful supervision for patients with mild to moderate renal failure or mild hypercalciuria
- Periodic checks of plasma calcium levels and urinary calcium excretion
- Measurement of urinary calcium excretion in patients with a history of renal stones
- Monitoring of serum and urinary calcium levels and kidney function with long-term treatment
- Consideration of calcium and vitamin D3 supplements from other sources
Overdose Effects
- Symptoms like nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, metallic taste, stomach cramps, diarrhea, headache, constipation
